The Woodland Bunker, Stoke Newington

We collaborated with Wild Yards on this project in East London, designing and building a new garden to connect the extension of a Victorian house with a garden office.

After exploring options with our client, we decided on a design that led with sustainability; laying reclaimed York stone setts alongside a species-rich lawn turf. We installed a green roof on the garden office, and a galvanized-steel water-butt to collect rain run-off – helping reduce mains water usage.

Our woodland planting scheme included Anemanthele lessoniana grasses; spring bulbs, such as Narcissus Thalia; and a beautiful climber, Trachelospermum jasminoides.

What the client says

I can whole heartedly recommend Wilder Landscapes. Theo and Ethan came to landscape my garden towards the end of nearly two, often gruelling, years of renovation work on my house...by which point I was pretty worn out by the whole process. But their professionalism, charm and supreme competence ensured that this final part of the project, the garden, went mercifully smoothly, which was very much appreciated. What is more, they have a wonderful eye for detail, an assured aesthetic judgement, and a high level of craftmanship to their finished work.
